The Story of the Policeman

Andrew

Once upon a time there was a policeman named Davis.
He was a great policeman in Hatfield Massassachusetts.
One day he saw a guy named Scott ride his bike on the
Road, instead of the sidewalk. Davis stopped Scott and
|Told him “You shouldn’t ride on the road even here
On Main St. So I’m giving you a warning for now.
And ride on the sidewalk.” So he did and Davis kept giving
Warnings until people rode on the sidewalk. The End

The Bucket

By Angie

How much life depends
on a single bucket!
For what carries our water
from the well to the house?
If the bucket had a hole,
our days would be ruined.
No water to cook with,
to wash with,
to drink with.
How would we survive?
For you see now
how much
life depends
on a
single
bucket.

The War

Mario

The war the war is bloody and red how many people are left dead.
The war the war by day breaks by night fall when will this come to an end?
The war the war will this war come to an end or will there be more dead?
The war the war will this ever come to an end?
The wars the wars so bloody and red will it ever end or will there be more dead?
The war the war how will it end we don’t know until more are dead?
The war the war hopefully there it will end!
And why do so many die and there family's are left there to cry?

Fireworks

Elizabeth

Ever since I was 2
I went to see the fire works
They stuck to me like glue
Every year I come
its fun to watch them zooming by
Across the big blue night sky
When I look oh what a sight
To see them flying through the night
Red, green and gold
These fire works never get old

SICK DAY

Graydon

The day was not a nice day. It was a cold and rainy fall day. I was homesick. I was in the hospital. I heard people crying and screaming. From my window I saw some kids waking home from school. They were getting drenched and slipping on the wet leaves. I was so bored. For ones I wished I out side getting drenched. I wished I was not sick. And I wished my parents could have made me go to school that day.

An Alien Named Fatso

by: Ian

There once was a fat alien named Fatso.  He was named this because when he was born he was 600 tons and grew fatter by the second.  When he was older he went to school.  He hated school because the other aliens called him names like beached whale.  Even though they had no idea what a whale is, but they still called him it.  So one day he had had enough of it.  He said to himself “I will challenge the fastest alien in school who goes by the name of Mcfastfast to a race… and win.  Then no one will ever make fun of me again, but first I will eat some ice cream”.  The next day Fatso told Mcfastfast about challenge.  Mcfastfast expected his challenge.  On the day of the race the racer lined up on the starting line.  “Ready. Set. Go.”

The Old Lady

By Jackie

Once there was an old lady named Bertha. She was ugly as a ducks rear. She was as old as old as her 98 year old cat. She puts everything in bags and people call her bag lady. She gives soap out at all the holidays because she thinks everyone smells bad. Now she is 101 and jogs around the block each day at 4:15 every morning. Please read issue No. 2 to see what happens to the old lady. The End!!

Why?

By Jillan

Why are we at war?
Why for so long?
Why is America torn?
If nothing went wrong.
Why are so many soldiers dying?
For people they don’t even know,
When their families are crying,
And the president is just watching the show.

The Groovy Granny

By: Lindsay

Hey, this is Lindsay and I’m going to tell you about my “Groovy Grammy”. Well here it goes.

My Groovy Grammy is 85 and she is live and kickin’. She dances around the kitchen to Polka music while she is also baking her apple pie. It’s actually quite entertaining!

She wears tie-dyed shirts, bell-bottom pants, leg warmers, and platform shoes! She has a bright orange afro and doesn’t pluck her eyebrowsThis isn’t true but think… What if you had a grandma like this? It would be funny wouldn’t it??

Joker

 Kiersten

The funny little joker goes to the kingdom
He tries to entertain the king try to make him laugh with his jingly hat
The king says, “What a fool” with a jolly good laugh like old Saint Nick
Lucky for you little joker with your tricks
I am glad you’re funny
To bad you don’t make money

The Wars

Aris

When I was little, I had a lot of toy soldiers. I would line them up in my room and have big wars with them. I thought it was so much fun back then. I didn’t know how bad wars can be. I didn’t know that so many people died suffering. I still don’t know what war is like, but nobody knows what war is like unless you’re in it.

The Story About the  People Eating Lasagna and Stopping Crime in a  Stroller

 Max

I saw the funniest thing yesterday. A granny and an elephant were eating lasagna in a stroller while being pushed by a monkey. They all had masks on. Then they hopped out of the stroller. The granny stopped a bank robbery while the elephant saved a baby from a burning building and the monkey saved a cat from a tree.

Soggy Day

Melissa

Today was cold,

Today when the wind was blowing it felt like a cold blanket of sorrow. And on the ground was tons of wet and soggy leaves, everything was wet, and soggy. All of the people and all of the animals were to. But then the sun came out, it turned warm, I felt GOOD inside. And then all of the people were always HAPPY from then on. And every time I walk down the street I see nice green leaves in the trees. And from then on when I’m walking down the street I always have a smile on my face.

 Shell

Scott

The shell reminded me of all the shells I’ve seen on Cape Cod every year. Always when I see a neat shell I take it back to are cottage and sometimes when we leave I take the shell back to are house. I have some of the shells at my house that I have collected from years past.

My Little Sailboat

Stephanie

It’s blue, white, and red,
My sailboat has a poop deck, a kitchen and a bed,
I love my little sailboat when I ride the ocean blue,
Steering on the captain’s deck is what I love to do.
I hope to sail around the world in my little boat,
My sailboat is very sturdy,
It will float and float and float.
I pull my little sailboat out of the bathtub and I sigh,
“I had enough adventures for tonight,
|So long,
            Farewell,
                        Good-Bye.”

A Halloween to Remember

Tabitha

Last Halloween I went trick-or-treating with my friends and family. First I went with my friends and then with my family. Before I went trick-or-treating I had to put on my costume and my make-up on that was as fun as eating candy. When we finally got to go trick-or- treating it was so fun getting the candy. After we were done we went to some Halloween parties. I was so happy, because I was as hungry as a pig, and I was still having fun. After all the parties were over we went to the haunted house. When we went in it was like walking in to my house on Halloween. When we got home I was ready to count my candy, and go to bed.

Peaceful Times

 Brian

Bright colors, shining so high
So peaceful, dark and quiet.....
No one makes a riot.....
Gray, blue, dark water down below.....
Watch the precious rain and snow.....
Fall upon the ground so soft
As your sitting in your loft.

The Girl

Mae

There once was a girl that was very sad
In fact she was so sad she was mad
She ran to a tree to stay tucked away
That night the moon was as small finger nail
She looked, watched, sat
Finally all her troubles were gone
She forgot why she was mad
She went to her home to see her family
Her mom was so happy that she cried with joy
The girl told them all what happened
They asked why she ran
She said that the tree washed her troubles away

Night of the Living Tape

Davis

“John….”

“Not again.” Said John “John, I need you to Clean the Attic.” His mother announced when John arrived in the spotless kitchen. “Ahhh mom do I have to?”

“Yes, now march”

When John arrived in the attic he began to shift the boxes into position. Behind one box was an old cast-iron crate marked “GHOST TAPE DO NOT OPEN” So naturally John opened it. Immediately a strip of tape was shot out of the box towards John. The tape hit another crate and turned it into more tape. The tapes teamed up on John and turned him into more tape. The tape made an army which quickly became the dominant species of every planet. The tape lived happily ever after but no one else did.

Aaron

My dog likes to sleep all day long.
Just lying there, snoring there,
Doing nothing wrong.
In the sun, on the couch, on my bed and in his dog house
He just likes to sleep,

Perfect Day

The Soccer Game

Megan

There was 5 minutes left
The score was tied 3 to 3
I could hear the people yelling
I could feel the person I was defending
The ball almost went in the goal
But the goalie blocked it
I heard the whistle
For the subs to go in
2 minutes left
Our team had the ball
We all stared as,
The ball went in the goal
We won against
A really good team,
We were all happy but the
Other team was mad

Fog Lights

Nick

Fog is like a gray piece of paper
Stretched over cities
Car lights, house lights
Glowing in the fog
Like ghostly eyes floating

I'm Going

Stephanie

I’m going to the ocean
I’m going to the beach
I’m going to the sea
I’m going way down deep
I’m going to go swimming
I’m going to build a sand castle
I’m going to feed the seagulls
I’m going to find shells
I’m going to have lunch now
I’m going to jump waves
I’m going to get out of the water
I’m going to dry off
I’m going to go home
I’m going bye

Bright and gleaming,

Reading

Shannen

Once the school work is done,
Reading is the only thing that is fun
Oh, what wonders reading can do!
Like encountering a talking shoe
Or having a conversation to a strange elf
But sooner or later,
That book will have to go on the shelf
.

Blue

Tony

Blue is the sky
Blue is the icicles
Hanging from the rooftop
Blue is a winter morning
It’s a cool, relaxing color
It’s the sea and a stream
Rushing down a mountain
You’ll see blue, wherever you go,
And wherever you are.
