How Hatfield Looked
In early Hatfield, the land had green grass, rivers, trees, and small houses. People outside were farming, drying clothes , playing, or running errands. You would see people walking everywhere or riding in wagons. Travel was very slow. Now we see cars and bikes that can definitely go faster. These new vehicles aren't bumpy either!
Also, you would see people building their own boats in order to go fishing. You couldn't just walk to the boating shop. You also had to go fishing almost every week for dinner. Now you can buy a boat at a boating shop and zoom around the river or lake, in five{5}minutes.
This is a picture of our town library. It was built in 1894.
