Thomas Millen's Transcript

In the name of God Amen

I Thomas Millen of West Springfield in
the County Hampshire by command being now of sound mind
and Memory, blessed by God; yet calling to mind the
Frailty of any Body in this my advanced Age have
thought it convenient to make disposition of my
worldly substance and accordingly do make and ordain
this as and for my last Will and Testament in manner
following that is to say, first of all I command and give
up my soul to God my creator in humble confidence
in his Mercy and My Body I limit to this earth -
asking for it a decent Christian Burial after my decease
in hope of a resurrection to Immortal Life through
the all sufficient power and efficacy of Christ merits
and as touching my worldly substance I give, bequethe,
and dispose of the same in the manner following my
just debts and funeral charges being fully paid and viz

I give and bequeth to Mary my beloved Wife
the use and improvement of all my estate both Reale
and personal so long as she shall remain thy widow and
if she shall marry again she shall have and
___ only one third part of all my estate the said
third part of thy personal estate to be at her own
disposal the said third part of thy Reale Estate to be
___of her during the term of her natural life, on
condition that she give bond in a refundable sum
to the __ image of the probate of wills for sd county
that she will tender and pay to the loyalty hereafter
named for third parts of my personal estate in
case of marriage as afore said reasonable allowance
however to be made for what the same may fall short
in case through unforeseen accident a reasonable
wage of the same and in and after my said wife term
___ shall be ended I give and bequeth to my loving brother
brother Joseph Billing of Hatfield thy whole of my
Reale Estate and the two third parts of my personal
estate past mentioned to hold to him and his heirs for
ever
