King Philips War

King Philips was a Wampanoag Indian. He didn't like the English settlers. In 1675 Indians attacked Hatfield and burned and killed several settlers. In response, Captain Turner and the settlers attacked. Things were quiet for about a year. But then the Indian's method was a surprise attack. They took seventeen women and children captive to Canada. ~Emily~

King Philip was a Wampanoag Indian. The 19^th of October 1675 Indians set fire to the north of Hatfield. The English made a stockade around the little town Hatfield for cover. Captain turner and 38 men attacked some Indians. Indians burned some homes on the 30^th of May 1676.
