Sophia Smith

Sophia had six brothers and sisters. She never married or had any children. She was born in 1796 and died in 1870. Sophia left money for two schools, Smith College and Smith Academy. Smith Academy opened in 1872, with 32 boys and 25 girls. Britney

One of Hatfield's most famous people is Sophia Smith. She came from a family of six brothers and sisters. She left money in her will to build a high school (Smith  Academy) and a college (Smith College). Oliver Smith was Sophia's uncle. He invested money form his father's will. This money later came to Sophia.  Brielle
