Tobacco

    Native Americans grew tobacco first-before the Englishmen.  Englishmen grew a small amount of tobacco.  They grew shade tobacco for the outer wrapper of cigars.  Shade tobacco is grown under cheesecloth.  Tobacco farms are in the fertile meadows along the river.  Tobacco served as a cash crop in the 1800's and 1900's.
